There are ants in the office.
Frankly, it freaks me out.
I hate bugs. With the exceptions of butteflies. They're pretty.
But I have no use for other insects. Bees, mosquitos, dragonflies, cicadas, grasshoppers, or anything else with an external skeleton.
And since I know there are bugs in the office, I'm slightly paranoid. Everytime the wind blows and I get tingle across my skin, I look down all jumpy thinking it might be an ant.
And I have sealed bag of Chips Ahoy in my desk. On one hand, I'm really jonsing for a sugary/chocolate blast of goodness. But on the other hand I'm afraid I'll jump right into one and I'll see an ant staring back at me as I'm chomping. Like a bad sixties/seventies "B" movie.
And then all of the sudden several hundred dozen will sprout up and start eating the rest of the cookies before they turn their wrath on me for squashing all those the antholes as a child.
And then I remember that I'm not in a "Scary Story" book that I read in the third grade. So I calm down.
But I still don't want to eat the cookies....
