RE: The Final Five
The Starbuck thing was seemingly written in stone and had been discussed with "E" weeks ago, so that really wasn't too much of a surprise.
And although the writing in Lee's testimony was not only exceptionally accurate but also accurately wrapped up all of season three in a ten minute soliloquy, the writing build-up for the revelation of the cylons was less than desired.
I just wish that the music part wasn't introduced in the last episode. If they had introduced that angle into this episode, I think it would have been more effective.
But that was outweighed by the separate and personal reactions of those changed.
Things to keep in mind:
1)Tyrol and Cally most defly have a baby, which means that the cylons theory of only having babies if your in love is true. Which means there are two cylon babies. Which means the one that Six may be protecting may be the wrong baby.
2)I still don't understand that if the cylons have the regeneration tubes, how can their be 5 missing models. Hopefully that will be discussed in season 4 in 2008 (more on that in a minute)
3)Starbuck is back, and with a hiatus for over a year, it gives her more than enough time to make her lil indie film (yay).
4)All those times that Tyrol and Sharon were hooking up in season one, there is the possibility that Tyrol planted the explosives.
I'm goign to be relistening to "All along the watchower" and try to find a deeper message in it and how it could directly related to BSG (give it up for dorkin' out).
The special effects that ended the episode made up for the lack of action scenes in the last few episodes. Also, it looks like season 4 is going to start off action packed (I know, captain obvious speaks again).
And now for 2008. That is incredibly selfish! 'Cuz it ain't going to be January 1st 2008. Nooooo, probably like March or April, or even May for spring sweeps.
I'm sure they'll be webisodes, but truthfully it's not going to cut it. How dare they pull a Sopranos and keep fans waiting for a year.
Of course, I could just be bitter...
