I haven't been commenting on my f-list for a while now, sorry! Work is kicking my ass and I don't really have a lot of free time recently. Hope you don't think I've given up on LJ/am deliberately ignoring you, because I haven't/am not! *penitent face*
Ok, so Legend of the Seeker was epic this week, Doctor Who less so. Yes, there was tons of 11/Amy this week but just because an episode has tons of my OTP doesn't make it good. The episode just felt like a trainwreck, a bit like Matt's acting. Not bad, just... why are all these bits in the same episode? Why is there no coherent plot? Why does a deus ex machina save the day every single time? Just why? I always enjoyed Moffat's episodes in the past, they were always the highlight of the season IMO so this just baffles me. And don't even get me started on River. Remember Silence in the Library? Why on earth would she think that 10 was a future incarnation of 11? Wouldn't she have his pictures in chronological order?
Personally I found ep 4 boring and expected a sparkling ep 5, but I was disappointed. For shame, Moffat!
Thankfully Confidential made it all better. Omg Matt and Karen have crazy RL chemistry, and dude they so blatantly enjoyed the snogging. Just saying. RL OTP right there. If you haven't seen it, watch it.
Anyway, back to Seeker. I still can't believe they're going to cancel it, I'm going to enjoy it for as long as it lasts. This week was epic, Tabrett completely steals the show. This is a mighty fine piece of casting right there. Tabrett totally nails every emotion they throw her way: arrogance, love of torture, comedy, anguish, just -- perfect. Flawless. I hope she makes another 500 movies and TV shows, seriously. I just wish they hadn't made her hair so dry and frazzled :( Cara deserves shiny lustrous hair!
About next week: dude, Cara is a Mord'Sith. She is the Queen of Pain. No one can break her. Nuh-huh. I mean she has two freaking agiels, Darken Rahl's petty phallic stick is nothing to her. They better find a serious way of mind-raping her or make it totally obvious that she's impervious to the pain. Cause Cara eats horses for breakfast.
