Omg, you guys.
Love love love Katie so much. Somehow this episode wasn't quite as good as I thought it was - everything felt so rushed, there would be countless scenes of Arthur or Merlin and actually very very few of Morgana, that druid guy (I watched without subs ok) and Mordred. That beginning part with the candle was awesome, though Uther's paranoia is actually kind of scary. I mean come on, someone tried to set Morgana on fire? And then they kidnapped her? Why didn't they just slit her throat in the first place x_x
Also, what happened to Gwen? We didn't even have any scenes of her being worried, and she didn't seem too relieved at the end either. Just sort of, "Hey, my bff isn't dead." Or maybe she's jealous that Morgana was riding on Arthur's horse :P
Poor, poor Mordred. As far as I recall had four lines, two being telepathic ones (the screaming at the end doesn't count). And yet his one act of magic is better than Merlin's 15 in the episode o_O Also, is it just me who finds it creepy that Mordred seems to be the only one in love with Morgana in this show? I mean, apart from Uther.
Er, lack of dragon much! That basically just lowered the ep a little. Poor dragon, no one wants to listen to him. Though on this occasion I'm completely on Merlin's side, go powerful witch Morgana!
Lol at Arthur thinking Merlin is crushing on Morgana (which he totally is. "Friend" my ass). And the best bit was that Arthur was basically all prince charming and went with his army of bloodhounds to rescue Morgana. The fact that he probably killed a dozen people (and almost killed a little boy) kind of ruins it, but the fact that he went along and did it = awesome. He didn't even question Uther about starting a medieval war (remember how last season he was all What have the druids ever done to you?) because he was just as concerned :3
You know what, I sort of loved Uther, even though all he did was arrest innocent people. That "a part of me will die with her" plus the "I was so worried" plus saying she's as good as his plus executing a million people for her makes all the Uther/Morgana shippers very, very happy ^_^ Even though I'm not one, I just love how their relationship is so canon. In many ways he knows Morgana better than Arthur.
Bad points: Merlin/Morgana already! What the hell, he brought her flowers, and then went to rescue her. Well, actually he went to rescue all these people Uther arrested, but whatever. Just, writers, stop putting "friend" in the script every time he's supposed to say "lover"! Although, that bit at the end where Arthur's all "back off my girl" (yeah, yeah, all in my head, I know) was priceless :P
Also, Gaius is a prick to everyone but Merlin. Figures. Guess that scene at the end makes up for it though.
Also, Merlin? Just fricking tell Morgana, okay? Please. That's three times already.
Next episode is going to be so good. Lancelot/Gwen finally! I think they're really going for the unrequited Arthur/Gwen angle! I mean Lancelot says "I'd die a hundred times for you" and everything! <3
Show is so my favourite right now.
Next week: giant moles.
