ca-ca-ca-combo breaker!

so today was a fun day. continued some more on project surpa.

Good buddy seth came by today to give me a hand (since he has done something like what we were looking to do today before). first thing we did was take a look at the engine and the elctrical wireing system. Decided that instead of replacing the entire wire that simply adding new terminals would do the trick.

We headed up to auto zone and picked up some pretty damned solid post terminals. we got back and striped the wire to where it was a beutiful copper color instead of black /green. got the new terminals on and the connection was about 100X better then before.

Next task was to take off the starter. which apperently is easier said then done on this car. for some reason its implossible to take off one of the two bolts needed. seth tried every possible angle to no avail. The idea was to take it off then trade it in at toyota heaven for a new one or rebuilt one so that the start up problem would go away. well once we gave up on that we put that car back together and headed upstairs to see what we could find on the net about a quick and easy removal of the starter. we searched for about 10 minmutes but then seth needed to bail so he left.

So lets see the check list so far

Plugs - Check
Wires - Check
Battery - Check
Power Terms - Check
New Starter -
Fan Shroud -
Replace Cracked silicon Houses -
AC Compressor -

and new items that seth found

Repair Busted Seals (oil / transmission fluid leak) -

well she still runs great, but now if we can get that starter off she will run everytime i want her too. Anywho back to galaxies
!!!
oh yeah, LIFE ROCKS!
