In Memory: Elizabeth Taylor
Elizabeth Taylor passed away this morning. I haven't seen many of her film performances, but the few I have seen I did enjoy her in. The picture above is a still from the 1949 film version of Little Women. I remember first seeing the movie and being a tad upset at the fact that they switched the ages of Beth (played by Margarget O'Brien) and Amy. In the end, I really did enjoy the change, because both the actresses were good matches for the characters.
One of my other favorite roles of hers was as Helen Burns in the 1944 film version of Jane Eyre. As it would seem, but movies have a young Elizabeth in them, but I loved her in each of these movies.
