Our laughs merged together, and any other sound faded into a blur.
Everything seemed to move at a pace I couldn’t catch up with.
Suddenly, that flash of red, the screech of tires, the sickening crunch of metal against metal, the shattering glass.
There was a scream-your scream, as the world spiraled around me.
Then, there was silence.
It smelt like gasoline and rubber burning against cement.
I couldn’t hear anything but the animalistic pounding of my own flustered heart.
The sky’s gentle blush was fading into dark, as I felt you slip through my fingers.
Please don’t go…
