Austin trip!

I had lots of fun when I went to Austin yesterday!

First thing when I got there, we went to Momoko's! I got some bubble tea (Called Chrysanthemum..) And it was delicious! I ate an Eel rice ball, and bought some yukimi daifuku in a box, because I really wanted to try them. They are mini daifuku/mochi ice creams! (Although I have tried them at Ginza, the cappuccino mochi. But these are different, they are smaller and produced by Lotte in different flavors)

...I just wish I could taste authentic ichigo daifuku to compare it to mine ^.^;

We then ran a few errands that my brother needed to do, then headed off to the Alamo Drafthouse!

Oh my goodness, this place was awesome!! Before the movie/trailers begun, they showed retro stuff..they had some daffy duck in there, which was cool, but the best thing was this: Old school Power Rangers intro and a scene from Doraemon!!!! Both in Japanese with subtitles!! It was so amazing. And I realized that my studies really are helping..my ear is getting more trained to understand Japanese, I'm getting a little faster at Hiragana/Katakana, and I recognize certain kanjis easier. Though my skills are really so juvenille/childish. Soon I'll be moving on to 2nd grade level Kanji at least! :P

The food was delicious. We ordered fried pickles..(I'm a BIG fan of pickles, and these were delish! The ranch provided had garlic in it, WHOAH..) and a pizza. SO GOOD BUT FATTY. :D I even had a bit of wine, you can order beer or wine at the drafthouse. (I would have preferred a more fruity drink or a margarita but eh.)

The movie, How To Train Your Dragon, was amazing!! I loved it :D I'd definitely go see it again, and I recommend everyone to see it!

Toothless, the main dragon in the film. He reminded me so much of my old cat Rocky, I have no idea why...

After the movie, we went to the mall! That was fun..there was a Forever 21 there, I stayed in there forever before deciding on a knit/crochet cardigan to purchase. There was an adorable blue-jean romper I tried on..it fit me (meaning I could button it up) but it was a bit tight/unflattering. Made me mad, because I want a romper!!! ;_;

Hm I think that's all..waiting on some stuff to come in the mail, I need my new iPhone case!

austin, daily life
