So we had the season finale of Stargate Atlantis this friday. Lizzie does the most adorable spazzwiggle of annoyance that we have to wait for next season's premiere. The episode was fun though, since it once again involved time travel. Except this time they decided to turn Atlantis into Abydos. I think I like the commentary we provided for the last episode a little more though. (While we watch the episodes, we tend to talk. Like the grumpy old men from Muppets except with more sqeeeing involving the male leads. Although I still don't really find Shepherd attractive.) Last weeks commentary involved how Mallozzi killed off Teyla because of when Michael decided to inject her with something. First, he touched the needle with his hands, didn't disinfect Teyla or the needle and then, the best part, was that although he tapped the tube to make the air bubbles rise, he didn't squirt them out. What made it even better is that later, when SGA-1 burst in, Ronon picks up the syringe up and randomly squirts it empty.
So instead of SGA night, we're going to have nerd night. Which makes me happy, because I really love hanging out with Lizzie and Rachel and Daniel and everyone else. And this Thursday is movie night! (i think) So double joy!! Plus, Big Bang starts up again on the 17th, which is also my boyfriend's birthday. So I get to celebrate three things that day.
This weekend was one of the best I've ever had. We (astronomy club that is) drove up in Lizzie's car to Chabot, which is the astronomy center. There we got to play with dohickeys to our hearts content. Or, if you're me and sometimes the others in the group, simulate death with all the fun things. Like the underwater volcano one. Where you pretend that it's a hot spring and lure unwary travelers in until suddenly, WHOOSH!, you boil them alive like lobsters. I am a vengeful god. We tromped around for awhile and played at being astronaut and floating around with this little skateboard like thing where you have to "save the spaceship". It was more fun when we started heckling each other. We still had some time left before our movie started and for some reason, our brainwaves synched up and we all thought the same thing: GIFT SHOP! So we spent money we really didn't have there. I bought presents for people, including a gummi heart, a finger alien and cotton candy rock candy. I also got astronaut food consisting of an ice cream sandwich and really yummy strawberries. And I got an origami set and a little galapagos tortoise 3D puzzle. My favorite part though is my T-Rex keychain and tiny ninja man, since I have the tendency of placing the ninja on the T-Rex and yelling giddy-up. Yes, I'm that strange. I even made sure the ninja would fit before buying it.
And now I must finish homework, so I will write about the rest of the night later.
