Had an unannounced visit from my midwife this morning. The results from my blood tests are back. For a person in my age the risk of carrying a child with Downs Syndrome is 1:1373. Mine is 1:192. I have an amnio centesis booked at 10am tomorrow morning.

Good job i'm not afraid of needles, but then i've never been faced with one 12 inches long!
