Writer's Block: Multilingual

May 30, 2009 18:04

Thai: Native, mother tongue.... So very fluent speaking skill (especially when ranting, rambling, and fangirling).  Don't understand dialects other than Central Thai.

English: Second language. Can understand up to some dialects, ie. Standard English -- that is, BBC and CNN English, Indian English, Burmese English (it took me about a year studying Basic Mathemetics with a Burmese teacher to understand when she says 'two' and 'times' OTZ.... thank god that subject only has pass and fail), Japanese English (cute!), some other dialects that are not very diffecult to understand, namely Singaporian or Philipphines. Still fail to understand Thai English and Chinese English sometimes..... OTZ

Japanese: Can read, understand, speak and write. But cannot write kanjis for god's sake (blame it on teh computers!) Still find kanjis very eyes-throbbing every time reading something other than doujinshis and fanfictions.

French: Forgot about everything except "Bonjour" and "Je suis un petit garçon la l'ecole Txxxx Uxxx Sxxxx, classe six-cent soixante-six" thing.
