words destroy all meaning

I have on of those ridiculous drabble type assignments to write for philosophy- you know, the ones where the word limit is so ludicrous that once you've written it you have to cut it down by a third. Inevitably you end up submitting something that reads like Yoda wrote it, having cut out key words and done grammatical gymnastics to get the whole treatise under 500 words. Of course, that's why I'm on livejournal, ridding myself of some excess verbosity on an unsuspecting public.

Today's nerd of the day award almost goes to a pseudo relative from Canberra - for his LANfest this weekend, and then coming home to back a pav- but he and his girlfriend are too lovely, so I guess I'd better take home the geek trophy and fess up to buying Buffy Season Eight today. Or rather, instalment one of said series, appearing only in comics.

I read it while I was detouring 2.5 hours on the way home, having caught the wrong extension within a 20 minute walk of home and ending up in that place from that song- Tuggeranong.

I made enough curry last night to feed a whole horde of curry monsters, so no doubt will be living off that for the next few weeks. Had feast of close-to-date strawberries drizzled in maple syrup with fake cream to get rid of the burning taste for dessert.

I am quite exhausted but had best get on with the study. Everyone is missed a great deal, and those who wish to come see me for this lame coming of age thing in April should keep the week with the 20th in it as free as possible, since I haven't narrowed down the date yet and have pretty much abdicated all responsibility when it comes to organising.

Oh, and Fraser- something that might top Papa Roach for emo is the new 'anti-feminist at mhs' myspace group , outed by w_e_n_s_d_a_y (no link since it was recently trashed by myspace). Apparently it was founded because someone had a fight with their girlfriend. I think it gets bonus emo credibility points for being on cryspace... Actually, let's make this journal entry interactive. Comment and tell me something that's more emo than Papa Roach. Winner gets a warm inner glow, i promise...

(and if you can't be arsed commenting about emos, just answer this one: How are ya? )

tuggeranong, competition, procrastination, buffy season 8, curry, gastronomical feats, yoda essays, papa roach, extreme nerdiness, emo, 21st
