aaaannnddd... update!
well okay.
i live in ypsilanti with stephanie dietzel... we have a house with 3 other girls and a josh. by the way, this living situation rocks my socks on many levels.
the major has changed: from journalism to biochemistry. no, that's not a jump i swear (except that im lying). the minor: criminal justice. the goal: graduate school of forensic studies, possibly at (gasp!) STATE (don't tell my brother). hopefully i can concentrate on specializing in blood analysis and balistics.
one of my roommates, tammy, and i are scheduled to photograph a wedding on the 9th of september. pray your hearts out and wish us well... this is our first attempt at professionality and hopefully this will give us the right grounds for takeoff.
steve's leaving me. silly government and their rules. just kidding- he's off to the army in 9 days. wish him well... my family and i are all very proud of him ((kiss kiss)) and pray that this is a good life choice (even though we all know no matter what he does, he'll rock at it).
my job is awesome- i wait tables at a bar in depot town and with the combination of the people i work with and the clientel that saunters through.... well nothing could be more fun, actually.
i started to go to ann arbor church of christ and it's a little different than rochester in all the right ways. not to say rochester is bad... it's just too big to feel like church anymore. AA C of C is full of friendly, genuine people... it's quite a relief from some of the stuff i've witnessed over the past few months. it's like a personal reassurance that there are people out there that don't expect you to be perfect before they decide to love you. so, amen to that.
so here's the general overview: my life has FINALLY taken a turn for the better... i don't have to twist things around in my head to make them optimistic thoughts anymore... they just... are. life's good around here; there's a big sense of community because it's a college town and there's always something going on or somewhere to go. so, and i'll say this only once... i plan on STAYING PUT!
