I went to the art supply place last night and bought some paper and some oil crayons and started using color for my comics. I am making little recurring characters now. Which reminds me, sorry for any really bad likenesses or outing anyone for idiosynchrisies (that has GOT to be misspelled) in advance :)
I am having a lot of fun with it, Mike is really encouraging me to pursue something with it. He thought the Houston Press was a great idea.
I also bought a lot more paints and beads for my masks, and Liam and I made one together before he went to bed and I made one after he was asleep. Then Mike came home from his business trip to Dallas (he had ridden his motorcycle both ways and he was totally wiped out). So he passed out and I had peace and quiet for awhile. :)
We took a few pics of the mask I made last night and made a startling discovery- the mold of the mask bears a striking resemblance to my ACTUAL FACE. Structure, form, that kind of thing. It was really weird but now I'm going to make one that has my real coloring, that will be fun :)
Mike finds out today if his trip to Australia is on for next week. I guess I hope he goes, he will get to see his family. I just kinda wanted him here for the holiday. Oh well. C'est MA vie.
I have decided against a trip to Austin, I have to go the following week anyway for a wedding so I will stay home and chill alone this weekend, maybe take myself out on Friday night if I think I can avoid finding trouble.
Somehow it just always seems to find me, though...
