I had a hard time writing yesterday and didn't really get anything going until I was trying (in vain) to go to sleep and was writing just because I was up. Fortunately I was able to tap into a subplot I've been mulling over and things just took off after that.
The cold is continuing to kick my ass. I was out running errands yesterday, feeling all right after doubling up on the Tylenol Cold and Robitussin Cough Gels and thought everything was going okay until I thought I might be the only one seeing a person dressed up as a pig.
My roomie and I dropped by the Apple Store on Knox Street to get a replacement car charger and to check out the new MacBook (I wants it!) and on our way back to the car we decided to pop into this energy conservation store next door. It was filled with Segways, compact flourescent bulbs, eco products galore and... a pig wearing biker leathers.
I smiled upon seeing it (don't make the pig angry!) and then casually perused a collection of books before whispering to my roomie to ask if she also saw a giant pig person. Fortunatly she also saw it and I was happy to find out I wasn't crazy. She'd seen it on the way to the Apple Store and we discovered it was their mascot, The Energy Hog. Yup. On the way out I complimented the costume since it had put itself right by the exit and I got a porcine thumbs up.
Good times!
