Two of my LJ friends -
emomaksmecry and
77unrestrained shared their birth stories recently and their words brought to mind the blog I wrote of Cole's birth. Back when I originally recounted my son's entry into the world I had, but a few friends on LJ. Now that I have added a few mommies to my FL I would like to share that story with them. So, if you care to know my son's birth then
click here. Actually, rereading that blog makes me laugh groan. I was so happy that I had such an easy baby back then. That was before the eczema presented itself. Now he fusses quite often and wakes multiple times during the night. I suppose I would act the same way if my checks, arms and legs were covered in red, bloody scales. Thankfully Cole sees the allergist on Wednesday and I'm hoping this Dr. Taki will have the miracle answer to my son's problem.
Tomorrow Sam and I are dropping the kids off at my in laws, so we can celebrate Sam's birthday. The BIG 3-0. I have known Sam since he was 21 and to me he doesn't look much different from the guy I met on February 13 th, 2000. I'm sure if I pulled out the photo albums I would notice a contrast between the Sam of today and the Sam of 8 years ago, but when I look at my husband I still see the same face of the man I feel in love with (insert disgusted blah here). The two of us sans kids are going out to eat at Red Lobster ... something I'm not too excited about as seafood is not my #1 choice in yummy food, but it's not my birthday, so I digress. We had discussed going to the movies afterward, but in the end decided to save 20 dollars and instead rent 'There Will Be Blood' something Sam has wanted to see for awhile. So, even though it's my husband's birthday tomorrow I am still excited that I get to spend an evening with him. That is a rare occasion as he is usually working or playing a show with his band.
