Another Toy Story Post
This all began with me thinking about 'Toy Story 3' (again!) and wondering if I had a certain toy that I could just not part with ala Andy at the end of the TS3. I wasn't able to conjure up any memory of me with a child/toy bond that was nearly unbreakable. So, I turned to my photo album for clues. Still nothing, but I did find all the ticket stubs I ever saved growing up. I suppose in a way movies, music, entertainment etc have always been my Woody or Buzz Lightyear. I kept these trinkets of memories from movies I saw all the way into college. Sometime around 1999 I stopped collecting them and this makes me sad. I would have liked to see more. But, I did find the original stub for 'Toy Story' when I saw it way back in December of 1995. I was 15 and totally awestruck at the cartoon. Maybe that's why 'Toy Story' and its franchise has such a soft spot with me. It is in a way part of my childhood and I may not have kept close ties with any toy per say, but movies ... especially 'Toy Story' were what I loved the most.
*And Lol look at the movie price. $5! That wasn't a matinee either. I saw that movie at night, I remember.
