"What's That Noise?"
A mini update, because I just don't have it in me tonight to wax poetically about my mundane life. lol
So, the other day I was in Border's getting my usual Carmel Latte with soy when my phone starts to ring and by ring I mean blare 'They Might Be Giants' song 'Seven'. It's a cute kid song that is off their album 'Here Comes The 1,2,3s. Anyway, Audrey loves it and I like it too, so I chose it for my ringtone. Only problem is that it can be a little jarring as a ring and if I don't quiet it right away then I get stares. So, picture this. I'm in Borders, which typically mimics a library as far as volume levels are concerned when this song goes off -
I was so frantic to shut the music off that I dug into my purse to find it. For some reason the song seemed incredibly loud. I started getting stares and then one guy mumbles clearly irritated, "What's that noise?"
Like you don't know, Jerk!
So, finally I figure out why I couldn't find my phone amongst my wallet, keys and makeup. The dang thing was in my hand. I was so anxious to turn it off that I hadn't even noticed I was holding my phone. Sigh. This is so typical me.
Anyway ... I am really irritated right now with all the hackers that caused such a massive screw up to all my favorite sites. I was unable to log onto LJ for the longest time and now fanfiction.net is giving me issues. Grrr.
Alright I need some comedy to cheer me up ... good thing Netflix delivered me some Michale Ian Black in the form of the show 'Stella'. I just had to take a break from 'Doctor Who' after watching the season 2 ending. I cried my eyes out over that one. Still makes me misty when I think of it.
