I'm tired tonight and just want to go curl up with a good book. Lately I've been reading a non fantasy book called 'Balzac and the Chinese Seamstress'.
My best friend in high school was Jacqueline Gu (
gubaby ) for those of you who speak LJ. About a year ago she sent me this book as she sometimes does (send me books that is) and somehow it got lost amongst all my other books. 2 weeks ago I found it and started reading. It really is the first non fantasy book I have read in a long long time and honestly it's a good change. I really do love the genre of fantasy, but after reading and then rereading and then listening to the audio books of 'The Twilight Saga' I do think a change was in order. Plus I love reading about other countries. Another one of my favorite books is 'The Bonesetter's Daughter' which was also recommended by Jacqueline and it's about a Chinese mother and daughter.
Sorry if I am not able to check up with everyone's entry tonight. I simply feel the need to veg in bed with a good book! Goodnight.
