I want to update but I don't want to type
so...things:
+ We have 3 hairless rats, they are: Frohickey, Langley, and Meyers. Yes, we are big fat dorks. The staff at the RVSPCA has requested we send photos of them in sweaters. We also shocked Ann Marie (foster coordinator) simply showing off their 2 1/2 ft tall (2 ft wide, 2 ft deep) cage. I plan on getting a Ferret Nation cage at somepoint as this is all we could get on the spot.
+ I am planning on buying them a Pirate Ship as soon as I'm able to. I think it's cute.
+ On New Year's Eve, Robert got us to try Verdi (a sweet champagne/bubbly wine thing). We had to buy a bottle of it as it is surprisingly good and it makes a fun pop! every time you open it.
+ JoAnn's Fabric is moving across the city into a larger area, so we hit JoAnn's today to get some fabric for ratties. Jamie found a fun one ("tobacco coloured suede-esque costume fabric with fringe") and we determined The Lone Gunmen would like that. I also grabbed a thick, kinda stretchy jersey type fabric and a little set of toddler socks to try out what I've been finding as "the best" solution to naked rats: toddler socks as rat sweaters.
+ Rattie sweaters from toddler socks: great idea and concept, not so good in reality as far as I'm concerned. We got one "sweater" on Langley and he was not happy about it and wriggled out of it pretty fast. I could try another type of toddler sock (like a solid colour) or I guess I could use baby-soft yarn and just knit them. Maybe I can hit up Ravelry and see if they have any ideas/suggestions since my Google-Fu is failing me.
+ The Steampunk novel I'm reading went from Neat! Steampunk! Dirigibles! to Eh, getting all romancy to omg I'm reading a trashy romance novel. I don't know if I should continue reading it (I like the characters, I like the setting and everything, I'm curious as to what happens next, but I don't want to read this bit), I mentioned this to Jamie and he pointed out that well I do like the Maggie Shayne Beyond Twilight (or was it just Twilight? I can't remember, it's the first of a series).
+ We built a 6 ft by 6 ft bookcase. It is completely full of books.
+ I am re-working the Master List for books. Oo;
