So, um, G just came upstairs looking kinda disgusted and told me that his mum's chickens are eating a toad.

A toad.

A FUCKING TOAD.

CHICKENS DO (SHOULD) NOT EAT TOADS.

I don't really know what to do with that.

I feel a little sick.

EDIT: Okay, so according to katsuninken , chickens really do eat toads. Quite frequently. I stand corrected but still a tad grossed

Srsly! We think maybe one of the cats caught it and then dropped it in the chicken pen, but they were EATING it.

Then we threw a little salmon out for the cat and they ate that, too.

Actually they do eat toads. They love 'em. I was raised on a poultry farm, and whenever a toad would get into their enclosure, something that looked like a game of football broke out. We called it Toadball and even invented a scoring system for it. We even had two kinds of chickens, so there were even teams. It was hilarious watching these chickens tackling each other and running around with a fat toad hanging from their beaks.

Wow, I had no idea. Thanks for the correction :D I've seen the football-game type thing before, whenever you throw them a shred of lettuce or a bit of tomato or something, it's really vicious. It does provide pretty good entertainment though, I quite agree ;D
