"I'd just like to call.....you my bitch"

This weekend I was actually NOT a couch potato. Aside from cleaning my room for the first time since moving back to NYC, I also went up to the Bronx to visit Vickie in her new apartment. Nice apartment. Really far out of the way. I had a not-so-fun adventure when the train decided not to run to her stop when it was time for me to leave so I had to catch a bus and an additional subway to get me home. Silly Bronx.

Vidya had a friend visiting for the weekend so I decided to go out with them on Saturday night. This is the first time I left my apartment after 11...in probably ever because in MA the bars were closed by one. I was kind of cranky that we went out so late, since usually I am lame and want to be on a subway home by 11, but it was a lot of fun. I also stayed out until 4:30 in the morning (say what??) and a friend of a friend of a friend of Vidya's took me and Kristen to a gay bar called "The Ritz" where they played such fabulous songs as the one in the title of my post. It was totally a last minute decision, but it was so much fun! Lots of beautiful men who knew how to dance, and I didn't have to worry about being sketchily hit on. I also met this super-hot guy when I was standing in line for the bathroom and we had this conversation (I was not drunk, I had only had 2 beers):

Me: "I just have to tell you, you are amazingly good looking."

Him: "Oh, thank you. You're gorgeous!"

Me: "Thanks!"

Him: "Isn't that always the way..."

Me: "Yeah..."

It was totally a "if we had complimentary sexual preferences I would go home with you tonight" conversation. Which I found amusing. And it made me happy that a really hot guy called me gorgeous, even if he didn't want to do me. Over all, I had a really good time. And I love dancing. I don't get to do it nearly enough. The staying out till 4:30 was probably a bad idea, but it made me feel not-lame for the first time in months. So, yay! I really need to stop sitting around my apartment brooding so much...

Meanwhile, back at work on Monday, this series of emails was sent out:

Rick: "I will be out of the office on vacation 9/12-9/19."

Rick: "Out of the office 11/12-11/19...not 9/12-9/19 as reported earlier."

Mario: "The ride in the Delorean was fun Rick. Thanks."

I found that exchange kind of funny.

Ok, guess it's back to doing nothing for me. Yay my job is boring right now. But at least I have one at the moment. I really need to start applying for a new one...one where I am actually making enough to pay for food and rent every month. You know. That sort of thing.
