Ah bollocks. So I may have just pre-ordered the new Bright Eyes album from Saddle Creek because if you do that, you get a tshirt with it (and it's black. Omg that is so exciting) and even with first class shipping to Brisbane it's only $35 AUD. Hell yes exchange rate. Apparently they ship your parcel out on the 8th of February, so it gets to you around the release date (though you do get a digital download of the album on the 1st). I take back my "ah bollocks" comment. This was clearly the best decision ever. Everrrrrrrrrrr.
Yes. If it isn't completely obvious, I am now back at uni after a week of being locked out of said uni due to The Floods, and I am also super distracted and not particularly motivated. What I have achieved today is as follows:
- ordered Bright Eyes stuff
- checked PO Box (no Decemberists parcel yet)
- drew on the window with a whiteboard marker. And then erased it obviously.
- danced around in a haphazard manner to OK Go
- realised that every Interpol song sounds the same as the last
- realised that listening to Interpol allows timewasting because you have no concept of time passing
- had an epiphany about my research (omg apparently this is my opportunity to say what I think about the topic. WELL DUH SELF.)
- got the impression that S is still being a bit of a cow to me
- worked out what I need to do to work out what I'm doing with my research
- looked at a lot of fashionz
- discovered that Sportsgirl are going to be stocking leather pants for $199 late in Feb, via a stupidly complicated web of lunacy and mild stalking. Cannot has though, I live in AUSTRALIA. This is the opposite of leather pants. Well, Queensland is, anyway.
- realised that my facebook page indicates that I interact with way more single males than New Guy does with single females.
- worked out that I am a moron
- decided to ignore moron-status and just go for SUPER AWESOME
- sashayed down the corridor singing The Decemberists. (This is what happens when no one else shows up).
Solid success, y/y?
