Aural training at uni clearly had some positives, as apparently I can play my guitar and sing in tune without too much effort. Wednesday night I made up an embarrassingly bad song about waiting for the State of Origin to start whilst...waiting for the State of Origin to start. Heh. It would be nice if I'd had some sort of indication that aural wasn't a complete waste of time when I was actually doing it years ago, rather than you know just making me feel incompetent and like I wanted to die.
It was dramatic.
I think I need to learn me some Bright Eyes or Decemberists, for awesome indie power. When I get an electric guitar my brother and I are totally going to jam some Atreyu FTW.
