the one with a weekend write up and driving and cat's eyes

So that family barbeque? Actually went okay and I had limited rage at having to wash everything up due to being far too distressed to care too much. Apparently feeling like I was going to burst into tears at the drop of a hat because "everything is so utterly terrible" negates my need to point out society's ills. Somehow managed to put on a cheery face and had happy photographs taken without too much evidence of crying thanks to the power of eyedrops. But I survived. Sometimes, that's at least one positive you can take out of these events.

Today I was driving on the Western Freeway and was stuck behind another learner driver who really did not want to drive at 100km/h in the appropriate sections of road. Sigh. Clearly this person had never driven to Toowoomba, a trip wherein if you do not do the speed limit people are liable to tailgate you the entire way. That said, it does seem that people are quite fond of tailgating which seems bizarre to me because umm, guys, you're getting rid of your braking distance? Yeah anyway. Grandma bought me a pretty lace shift dress so tomorrow I shall attempt bothering with eyeliner because this clearly calls for some excellent 60s cat's eye liner.

Really do love Sunday nights. Bones + Castle = awesome. The only thing that could make this better would be if the people upstairs would stop listening to whatever the hell they're listening to so freaking loudly.

driving, 60s, bones, being awesome, castle, my mad family, dress
