the one with hideous linguistics which will hurt your brain because it is stupid
Firstly, I am going to reply to the comments I haven't yet replied to. I swear. Just as soon as uni stops being deranged (which I hope will occur, at least temporarily, at about 6pm tomorrow).
Apparently, I am supposed to write a 500 word "essay" (pfft, what essay is 500 words long?) for linguistics. It doesn't have to have any referencing, and to all appearances seems to be intended to be constructed solely out of information provided by one website (where there is basically no info) and I guess, the lecture notes. Wtf, linguistics. I'm not liking this bollocks way of pretending to write an essay. It goes against basically everything I've ever learnt in music history, and hell, against common sense in some aspects. Not so happy with linguistics at the moment.
On a slightly brighter note, I passed my first aural task yesterday. My lecturer even said I had actually improved. This is probably because this year I've actually been practicing. Last year, not so much. In fact, I basically did no work on anything last year unless it was due in a week's time and then I'd give it about two hours all up of practice. Lazy Katie. But no longer! Am now Half-Motivated Katie. Or something like that.
