Coffee and the Utopian Marshmallow take to the stage...

Let's get the shameless plugs out of the way first, non?

If you are free around 1ish on Saturday 16th July, please make your way to the Windsor, Bangor where my very first performance as part of a band will be occuring. Coffee & The Utopian Marshmallow, along with their extended network of musicians/pals the Beat Muppets and a sprinkling of obscure instruments, will be playing a selection of wonderful sing-a-long cover tunes from Gomez to the Pixies to the Small Faces, stopping off for some Therapy? and other such randomness along the way. For those of you with a passion for hot little boys I can guarantee you at least a handful. And its FREE in (at least until the non-acoustic stuff starts at 8ish at which point its 3 quid) and I would appreciate it if no-one gloats when I screw up.

I've taken this week off work to practice and hang out with the boys. Its just too hot to get motivated though and with 'the boy' making many more appearances than perhaps either him or myself could have anticipated things are just getting hotter. And hotter...

All night chats, 5 minute meet-ups just to say hello, his vocabulary that makes me go all wobbly and his superlative spelling skills. I've enjoyed a few days of holding hands, eating pic n mix, making toasties, playing with his doggie, admiring his really tidy room (god i LOVE tidyness) and finding his many tattoos. Sunday was one of the nicest days ever wandering through foresty places and playing beside the dams in the sunshine. There has been much pisstaking from the CUM boys as in practice yesterday i tried to say 'shall we make a start' and ended up coming out with 'shall we mark mark mark'. Not cool. Dave x_tk421_x saw fit to document it in illustration form so as to torture me.

So now I'm off to the garden to lie about in my necessarily skimpy dress (please let it cool down a little) and read my Pamela Des Barres book with a big glass of juice, an icepop, my red glasses and a parasol. I may bring the Heartbreaker out and have a little strum. Life doesn't get much more twee.
