passion flows vehemently with an uncanny grace
erasing logical thought
swimming in the boiling tide waters of
rage and reverie
it heeds to the protozoan essence
bares its ivory whites and sinks down in deep
it runs its blood covered tongue down
the curvature of your soul
and you now know
that no force can heed the inevitable
to see the world in hues of rouge
leaves one with a delectable fate
for as the moon rises and the sun burns inside
that red headed lunatic once again takes rise
she breathes in the scent of pine
and howls out rhythms that leave
enduring goose bumps on your spine
she dances naked in shadows and light
and wrestles ghouls and fiends with
peyote breath in a wingless flight
she lives to the moon, oh Luna
your magically hysterical flair
swallows the sanity of Homo Sapiens everywhere
they flock in zombified herds
when they can no longer stand your wordless words
this is the wise ones spell
Luna’s Lunacy
she simply rises and
we simply fall to our knees
but you see she, I, thrive in this
daunting paralysis of sensitivity, insanity
heed to the grace of Luna
swim in the unimaginable tides
of a fresh water sea
the superior waters are the closest thing
to soothe me, move me
further into a wonderfully cold delirium
water mixes with blood
in the visceral hands of time
we meld together like alien alloys
burning hot magma hitting
the surface of an arctic rain
trees rasp and sway in the balmy gusts
languidly revealing root shaped veins
together we share in this drink
blood sipping, sap dripping
and I can see that once upon a time
there was more than merely moonshine
there’s a web of flesh
incandescently connecting me
to the Aegean Sea
the island of Lesbos is where I spawned
chillin’ with Sappho on a golden lawn
sprawled out in the Mediterranean breeze
I was the one who took Sappho down to her knees
this is where my passion began
my pleasure centered between Yin and Yang
she moaned and screamed, shook and tore
I swam in her swells and ripped at her core
I spoke in tongues, embraced, caressed
and it was there
where pleasure pangs gave way to the big bang
I rode her like a ship in a torturous storm
and through blood, moans, words and flesh torn
that this luminous muse was finally born
