So today is the day before Mothers day. It's free comic book day, which a lot of my geeky friends are taking advantage of, but there's another significance for today, and that's Birthmothers day.
Do you have a special lady who has given up a child for adoption? Today is for them, and any woman who has made the heartwrenching decision to sacrifice a piece of themselves for the well being of their child.
This is not a well known day since Hallmark and the other card companies haven't caught wind of it yet and it's not commercialized. This means that there's no big reminders, no fancy cards or ad campaigns.
Nothing other than "Happy Birthmothers Day" and maybe a token of your affection or downright love for that woman.
