The youngest daughter just left for school, but before she left, she was watching the BBC World News.
They had an article about a NATO air strike somewhere (I wasn't in the room) and other than a brief mention of NATO, the rest of the story keep referring to it as "American". She was upset as NATO is not solely America, and "we are being blamed for a group decision".
It dawned on me what many people probably already knew, in politics facts don't matter - only the perception. He (or she) who controls the perception controls the politics. It seems to me news agencies either are playing along, trying to control perception themselves,or are not paying attention to this as they do not seem to try to negate perception with facts. Without the real facts, things can get very ugly and very dangerous real fast, especially in politics as things like wars can happen.
