Dad invited us to the Gopher's (University of Minnesota) first season game tonight, and my sis is in town, so she and some friends are coming too! Yay! We should have lots of fun. :)
My dad has two sets of seats, one group of 6 on the third row, center court (he is a huuuuge U of M fan and alum) and another batch of 4 on row 19 behind the backboard (still good seats). I told him I didn't want to go unless we could be on the 3rd row with him and Allie, mostly because Janet has seats right next to that batch of 4 on the side.
He asked if Janet had been on the warpath again, and I told him in no uncertain terms that she had been very rude this week indeed. The term Ice Queen comes to mind, though I didn't say that to him. He told me he was getting sick of her acting this way, and I said, "you've been getting sick of this for the last 2 years, so unless something has changed..." We talked a little more, and he asked me if I thought I could handle Janet's job as well as my own. I said I might have to put in a few more hours, but yes, I could. They did just give her some more stuff to do for one of the companies, and I don't know what that entails, but other than that, I could. I also told him that I would much rather work a few more hours a week than have to deal with her anymore. Hopefully something will come of this. *crosses fingers* At least I am getting more practice standing up for myself!
On the plus side of work, I really like the new receptionist Dawn. She is figuring things out really quickly, including what different co-workers are like, if you catch my drift. She's also very friendly. I think we're going to get along really well. *beams*
Tomorrow night Lacy's gonna try and come up, and we'll go to see Todd's (dad's law partner) band, which is always fun. They're a cover band, and they're actually really good. Todd plays the keyboards and a little guitar, and they only do like 6 shows a year. We're gonna get our groove on! *strikes a pose*
