Curling
Back from the curling in Barrie Ontario at the Casino. The curling wasn't bad although I felt bad for Jennifer Jones and her team. I got a chance to talk to them a bit while the finals were on and they are such nice people. I was really pulling for Kevin Martin because he is my favorite (even though his third is a jerk) but alas he didn't make it to the finals. I don't like Ferbey or Howard so the finals were a wash pretty much.
Having the event at the casino wasn't good for Sherry because she lost $300. I won $650 so guess who bought dinner both nights! I didn't mind and we were able to get around the area and see the scenery a bit. The weather was great so mornings we were able to do a short jog and get some fresh air.
We found this great little restaurant on Sunday night and ate the best steak I've had in a long time. Shopping, shopping and more shopping was the order of the day for Sherry who doesn't get to travel that much and was determined to spend all the money she brought with her. LOL.
All in all a good trip and no work involved! Our next trip is out east again where we will see the Rankin Family play in Halifax in February while we celebrate Chico's MBA. Decided to take a few days vacation while we are there to see the sights that we never get a chance to while working. Since now he will be classed a Grade 18 - yes! - I thought he would be finished with school but like me I guess he is addicted so he will be concentrating on his next degree chase but I suspect he will wait until next fall to start.
Thats all thats fit to print. Back to work again with a local project so I should be fairly accessible until early February. Jewel, maybe you can join us in Halifax. Aren't you finished that stint yet?
