Accidents Happen
Now... I rarely ever come here... Let alone post anything... but... I need to vent so...
Lets start from the beginning of this week....
On the 29th of January, I got my teeth pulled, 7 plus 4 wisdom... Quite painful... Still trying to handle the pain of it...
On the 30th of January, I went to see one of my specialists for the baby to make sure she's all right and things are going fine as they are. Well, needless to say, she's a very healthy baby she's probably going to be about 8 pounds at birth. Give or take a few ounces here and there. And that's the good news, the bad news is she hasn't even started turning yet, which means she's currently in the breech position. If in three weeks she hasn't turned I am going in for a c-section. Yay.... not. I do not want to be cut open, that is a major surgery and I refuse to have surgery.
Anyway, on my way home from the docs visit, my mother received a call on her cell phone from a hospital. My brother got into a serious car accident and nearly died. As soon as my mother and I got home, a family friend came and picked us up to take us to him. When we got there and spoke with the doctor we were told the severity of his accident....
My brother's spleen was ruptured, he has several lacerations to his liver, kidney, and small bowl. His right leg, the tib-fib shattered through the skin. The bones in his left leg and knee were shattered completely. His right cheek bone close to his eye, all the way around to his forehead was also shattered. He should be dead according to the doctor. The doctors removed his spleen, repaired the lacerations to his liver and small bowl. His kidney they're waiting to see if it will need repairing before continuing anymore major surgeries. They put a metal bracing on his right leg to help fix his tib-fib, and they casted his entire left leg. They're holding off on repairing his legs to much till he is more stable. They plan on doing facial reconstructive surgery to repair his face.
Now your all probably wondering what he was driving and how it happened so here it goes.... He was driving a motorcycle, he slammed into the back of a car. He destroyed his motorcycle and crippled the other car. He was driving at about 75 MPH while he was intoxicated, the test for how intoxicated he was came out to 2.2 which is 4 times the legal limit for our state. The woman he hit was injured, but not life threatening. Needless to say, my brother is an idiot. He was on probation and shouldn't have been drinking... he violated his probation. And now, not only will he be serving 2 years for violation of probation... he will be serving an added 6 to 10 for the accident. So he's going to be going away for a long while....
You'd think I'd be upset over it all, but I'm not... It don't really hurt me... I knew it was bound to happen with him... About the only thing that is effecting me... Is how my mother is handling everything... Some know that my mother is not in the best of health conditions, so I take care of her... Well, this just added more stress and pain to my mother... She's not handling it very well, and that is what hurts me... Is cause there isn't much I can do to make it better for her...
Well... I'm done, if I continue I'll end up crying because I don't know how to help my mom handle this and I refuse to cry... I refuse to get to stressed, last thing I need is to go into labor 4 weeks early....
