(no subject)
I woke up with Kyle, and now I can't go back to sleep. damnit.
so the big news.. (and why I woke up).. is we got... a ....
PUPPY!!!!! yayyyyyyyy! She's a 6 month old Sheltie, and we got her from an Amish family on the other side of Bellefontaine. They had way too many dogs and advertised her in the paper, her and her brother. We got her REALLY (and I mean really, b/c we're wayyy broke) cheap, and she's even got papers. The poor Amish guy didn't realize what he had, because she's got beautiful coloring. She's white and honey colored, with a white collar and a white tipped tail. We named her Isabella (Bella for short). So, she's adorable, but we're having some issues with her, so, I don't know. She's petrified of us.. she was fine in her own environment, but, now that she's in ours, she's terrified. She drools non stop. Her little tail still wags all the time, but, she's extremely timid. Apparently, these are common sheltie traits, and I've really just to play with her ALL the time to get her used to us.
( **in case you didn't know.. a sheltie is basically a toy collie. They are a seperate breed, the Shetland Sheepdog, but, in apperance, they look just like if you'd shrunk a collie dog. here's some random pics of other adult and puppy sheltie's... ** )
so... anyways.. thats the big news around here. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that she'll learn to love us, and let us spoil her.. because she really is just ADORABLE. Sheltie's are known for what great, smart, companions they are.. I hope Bella can prove that to us! lol.
