The Resistance
I dunno how many of you are fans of Muse but I just need to discuss the new album. Or something. I dunno man what do you guys think of it?
When my bro first let me listen to Uprising a few weeks back I thought it sounded too much like FOB's I Don't Care and AFI's Miss Murder. And then I heard the album and I was like, wtf, Matt?? I know he's always wanted to do something ever instrumental or whatever but damn. I didn't really get the album when I heard it the first time cos it was too. IDK. Too soundtrack-ish or something. I told my bro it sounded as if we are going to war to fight aliens on another planet or something. Haha!
And like, some of their songs sound too similar to other songs out there. Like how United States of Eurasia sounds somewhat like We Are The Champions at some parts and Unnatural Selection totally sounds like New Born and there's this part before the chorus that sounds like Avenged Sevenfold. And the three part symphony! Ngl, I totally fell asleep in the train on the way to work listening to it. Idk the whole thing just doesn't feel like a complete album to me.
But hey, you know what? It's Muse and they can do whatever the fuck they want and it'll still be awesome cos after listening to the album for the third time, I'm completely in love with it and been listening to it since. Also, watching them live totally made me love the new songs even more. Cos Muse is epic live. EPIC.
I don't think I'll ever get over watching Knights of Cydonia live. Have I mentioned how they are the best live band ever? BEST LIVE BAND EVER. Man, I really hope they'll tour Asia again. Like, soon.
