I had to scrap my Halloween idea because I am certain I don't have the time to make myself a costume. Instead I spent way too much money on a gorgeous pirate dress and some boots. The only alterations I will need to make are reinforcing the bodice so the boning doesn't pop through the delicate fabric, and replacing the black/red stripped sash with something a little prettier and less cheap looking. Probably some sort of pretty black lace.. and I'll use the same as a headband.
