For those that were wondering...
(ie chidorichan XDD) Yes, my hometown/family were in the path of Hurricane Ike. My family didn't want to leave the area, so they left Baytown and hunkered down at my mom's friend's house in east Houston..which was really only about 20 minutes away from our house XD. But they were okay there, and yesterday my family went back to our house in Baytown and reported that the house is fine, but the acorn tree in our backyard was uprooted and fell across the fence so some if it is in our neighbors yard. ...D: noooo we used to use that tree as 3rd base when we were kids! Sad panda. Also, the top branches of the tree in our front yard were broken off (STRONG tree! and I thought it was half dead...), the lamppost in our front yard got blown over, some of our roof is damaged, and our mailbox is smashed. I'm so sad to think of what my mom's garden looks like now...but I'm really glad she moved her potted plants inside. I grew up with some of those plants. O.O I think most of Baytown has no electricity and very little water, but my family is okay so that's all that matters. Austin was supposed to get a bit of the storm, but the worst we had was a little bit of wind. And sunshine. And about 3 minutes of sprinkle-rain late at night. Peh.
