So, I am working three jobs now (yes this is all part of a plan!!) and I can honestly say I love each one of my jobs! I don't really get days off anymore, in fact most days I run from one to the next and change clothes in the car on the way :P GREAT FUN!
Job #1: Best Buy, cashier.
Been working here for little over a month now, kinda boring since our store isn't well known yet (it's brand spankin new folks!) but businees is fairly steady and the work isn't hard. Just invovles lots of standing around and making small talk with people! Overall I really like it, everyone who works with me is really friendsly and the store has a laidback environment.
Job #2: Busch Gardens, Merchandise Team Ireland.
What can I say, this job is a blast! I've worked here all summer long and am kinda sad the season is almost over. I've made some great new friends here and plan on going back to work next year as well (if I'm still in VA) Tourists suck ass but there's not much to do about that. My teammates and supervisors however, make this job worth the long drive and hassle of the moronic guests. I sure will miss everybody during the fall, hopefully we will try to keep in touch!
Job #3: Busch Gardens, Howl-O-Scream Scare Squad.
By far this is my favorite of the three. Great friends, BEST supervisors ever, and we get paid to scare the crap out of people!! Our maze rocks, and it's the newest to the park this year, so we get lots of proplr coming through. We kind of have a friendly rivalry with the maze next to ours (the one that starts with a W, I won;t say the rest tho :P) Sad thing is though, we can't see the rest of the mazes/scare areas throughout the park since we have to work every nite of HOS, but it's cool, none of the other areas can ever touch ours ( I am sur ethey all say the saem abotu theirs too :P)
To all my friends in the past who have worked for Busch or Water Country and told me how awful it was...man were you guys wrong. I love it! The friends I've made and the stories I have now...I hope to never ever forget this summer! It almost beats the best summer of my life 2002 (for those of you who remember it was the year we did Vampire Hunter D skit at Otakon, back when the group was still all together and things hadn't gone to crap yet)
Also in other great news, tonite at my SCA's Arts and Sciences class I learned how to knit!! My first project is a scarf...eventually I want to make a blanket for my bed!!! I think I need a lot more practice before I am ready to tackle that big a project though!
Well that's my story for the past few months! Hope to hear from you guys soon, take care and have a wonderful halloween!
