Posting to LJ got procrastinated for so long that it became a big frightening thing on my to do list and then got procrastinated some more, some of you know how that goes. Anyway, the big news is that Mark and I moved! We are in the Greenwood neighborhood and sharing a house with Jack and Teresa! We have soooo much more space than we used to (and Jack and Teresa have so much less - some of you are familiar with the size of the Haunted). I got to have fun painting actual colors on the walls!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I will have to get pictures eventually, probably when there are less boxes.
Biggest downside so far is that the previous owners were serious chain smokers and even though the inside was repainted and got new carpet, all the woodwork is gross gross gross and it smells in here, but it's getting better. We're working on doing a thorough cleaning as we unpack, so it's going slowly. Mostest grossest so far seems to be the plastic blinds in the master bathroom - covered in yellow brown goo and quite rank. The blinds are all being evicted to the garage. They probably would have been anyway, but their repulsiveness speeds the process.
Holiday plans are to drag Mark to Iowa for Monday through Saturday next week and spend it with just my mom, dad, brother, his new wife, and their dog, in the house we grew up in. I know my parents and I are just about giddy over this. They were asking what food requests we might have back in October. :)
So, overall good. Yesterday and today have had too much migraine for my taste, but in general, life is good. I will try not to make some New Year's resolution that scares me even further from posting to LJ.
