um... good question... so I had kinda figured I was going to be going back to office work temping and then keeping the Lusty for two days a week (with the dream of putting the extra money toward laser eye surgery maybe?) while continuing to hope that the right job shows up on craigslist someday and that I'm miraculously qualified for it as well. Now that I've had a chance to think about it, that does not appear to be that great of a plan.
New Plan:
- Increase my hours at the Lusty and let them know I'm also available weekday daytimes and evenings now (already implemented).
- Continue to slowly clean the apartment and do all sorts of errand and organize-y kinds of things.
- Keep my gym membership at Olympic Athletic Club (that I originally was just going to have for the summer to keep Amy company while she got ready for surgery) and take good care of my body.
- And the big one: Seek out volunteer work that will increase my employability for a job I would actually want!
- Oh, and make my own mochas at home - a little thing that gives me much joy.
I'd been having some issues (ok maybe still am) of feeling like I was being lazy and bad for not working 40 hours a week, but I'm trying to realize that the above plan is a better use of my time and that I make as much working the Lusty part time as I would at another job working full time, so why not do something I enjoy more and have more free time? I'm not quite convinced - damn protestant work ethic.
