Side Effects Suck
So with the arrival of insurance (through Mark), I have been seeing doctors because I can. I still need to schedule dentist and gyno (and now I'm distracted by the thought of vagina dentanta). Anyway... so I'm now back on anti-seizure medication and my body doesn't like it. (Another distraction - why is there an eyelash in my Pad Thai?!?!?)
Oh yeah, I have epilepsy (diagnosis simply requires having more than one seizure - I've had two in my whole life). I kinda forget to tell people cuz (a) there's only been the two, the most recent of which was in 2002, and (b) I refused to have "epileptic" be part of my self identity due to my adherence to the principle of better living through denial.
But apparently my chances of seizure while not on meds are higher than I'm willing to risk, so... back to meds. The problem is the side effects are giving me lots of trouble this time. They gave me some trouble the last time, but not like this. And in the ramping up the doses gradually procedure I still have 4 more levels to go!!!! I was supposed to up the dose yesterday, but my neuroligist and I agreed that I better wait till the side effects die down.
