Still alive.
Ben and I both managed to find jobs so we're hopefully staying in the UK for the whole 2 years. We were pretty close to coming home though, it wasn't a fun time. We're still not quite on top of things money wise and it's really hard. Everyone who knows me personally should know that I'm sucker for pretty, shiny things (like makeup, Lush and shoes) and it just sucks to not be able to have fun with my money yet. It also sucks because Ben has is heart set on getting the bloody new iPhone. 600 pounds? Fuck off. I originally wanted one but I've decided to save for a new laptop and get a tattoo instead (ha, so much more practical)!
We've moved into a new apartment in the city centre of Liverpool. It's great being 5/10mins walk away from everything. It's a tiny studio apartment but it has a dishwasher! It also gets really warm and has a little balcony to sit out on. Speaking of warm, I was so not expecting Liverpool to be this warm. I've done the unthinkable and bought myself shorts which I actually wear outside (gasp, shock horror, etc.). I'm probably scaring the locals ;) It's going to be about 15 degrees tonight which sucks for sleeping.
Anyway, the main point of this post is to moan about how lonely I am. I've never been one to make friends easily and now is the time it's really biting me in the ass. Ben is away in London meeting his Dad who is visiting for a few weeks. He's only away for a few days but I'm already going out of my mind with boredom. I get up, go to work, come home and go to bed. Wow. My boss has invited me out with his friends this Saturday which should be fun, but it's all guys and I really would like some female friends. I'm finding English girls a bit weird.. maybe it's just Liverpool, I dunno. I started taking pole dancing classes and the girls there are nice, but they all seem to know each other already and it's just a bit awkward.
Anyway, bed time. Let's see if I can sleep tonight! It's way too hot, too noisy and too light in the mornings here!
