good riddance

last week, one of my staff emailed me on sunday to tell me she was quitting, effective immediately, meaning she wouldn't be there monday, despite knowing that we probably wouldn't be able to find coverage on such short notice. i won't even go into how shitty, selfish, and unprofessional that was, because surely anyone with a brain and a conscience already knows this.

then, she emailed me yesterday to ask if i could 1) fill out and turn in a time sheet for her, 2) return the library books she'd left at work, and 3) wait for her to mail back her key.

my answers: 1) sure, 2) nope, and 3) nope.

what a pathetic human being SHE turned out to be. she'd been treading on thin ice anyway, calling in every week, and not even calling ME, but leaving a message on the machine at work, so i never knew until we opened in the morning that she wasn't coming in. of course i reminded her several times that she needed to call ME, and made sure she had my cell #, but to no avail. i had to verbally counsel her about her many absences on thursday; the following sunday, she bailed.

and now she wants me to do her favors? please!

she's a 43 year old brat.
