well.......the last few nights have been quite slow, but i am not complaining. i needed a rest after running all over this flippin country. and my liver got a break to. i got fed very well and had a nice warm bed and hot shower. justin's cousins are just lovely people! rained monday so i did laundry. it is nice to acually wash clothes in a machine as opposed to a sink. tues was alot of walking. i got the bus into town, went to the natural history museum, which was alot of stuffed dead animals. it was a little scary and disturbing with all these dead creatures makin' eyes at me. then i went to the gallery where they keep all the art and paintings, that was grand. after that i accidentally went to the library thinking it was the museum but that was good to because they had an excellent james joyce's "ullyses" exhibit. i made it over the the national museum and spent most of my time there. it had all kinds of history and artifacts from the first people to come to ireland all the way up till today. it also had an ancient egypt exhibit that is permanent and i thought it was a little out of place, but whatever it was a great museum with lots of information and it was just the right price....FREE!!! i didnt feel like going back to the house yet so i walked around dublin a bit. it is much nicer and enjoyable when you dont have a huge bags strapped to the front and back of your person. i walked by bram stokers house and then just kind of wandered around grafton st and temple bar people watchin and such. i need to find a music shop to replace my whistle. i made reservations at a hostel for tonight until tues. my hostel is right by st. patrick's so i will probably go over there today. i also need to call justin's friend joe to see if he wants to go to any sessions this week. ill head over to the cobblestone tonight. call anthony and peirce to see if they want to go. apparently because of the easter holiday everything is going to be closed on good friday. the adult choir will be singing over at christ church cathedral in the evening so i will go check that out. i am on holiday and i am going to church can you beleiv it. i need to bring home some soda bread and chocolate for everyone to try it is soooo much better here!!!!! i dont know what i am going to do without soda bread! oh peanut butter is pretty much unheard of here. so no pbandj sammys and no candybars with peanut butter either. no mac and cheese. so i have no idea what the kids eat around here. nobody knows what the flip i am talking about when i ask for pop. they call soda minerals. the toilet paper package says "we luv your bum" on it. trunk of a car is the boot and the hood is the bonnet. i think i need to bring back some of the tea from here too there is just something different about it. maybe i can get beth to order some irish breakfast tea. breakfast food like sausages and bacon is called grills. the sausage is much much different you could never make sausage gravy for some biscuits with it and the bacon is very different to. also a grilled tomatoe is served with the meal to. i dont know how often i will get to be on here in the last few days cause i am going to have to pay for it at the hostel. what are you guys doing for easter? i wish i could decorate eggs and have a nice big easter ham! well i am off to the hostel now. the bus takes about a half an hour to get to town so by the time i get there get lost and then find the hostel it should be time to check in. oh some people asked me for directions yesterday and i accually could tell them where to go. that really doesnt make much sense since i am always getting lost. i have this strange obsesion with wandering to the outskirts of the city though and my map only goes so far. those holiday rates at the hostel are simply mad! 14 euro on a regular night then they are jacking the price up to 19 for friday sat and sun. god they should feel bad for me that i am sleeping in a hostel on a holiday.
