So, school. Totally forgot about that. Definitely missed that dumbass class I was supposed to go to today because I just forgot. I don't really need the class, but I'm afraid there will be a problem since I didn't go. Must discuss this with someone who knows things. None of my ISU-going friends fall into that category, unfortunately, so I don't really know what to do about it.
All of my classes are in CVA ... except one. Which is about as far from anything else on campus as you can get. It's in Turner. It's my first class. The only way I can park anywhere near there is if I buy a parking pass. Looks like I'm getting up early ... if I can ever get to sleep. I felt sick as hell last night so I was up really late, called off from work, and slept all damn day. Now it's about 2:30 in the AM, and I need to be up at 9, and sleep doesn't even seem like a possibility. On the up side, I made pie.
There was also this crazy guy at Steak N Shake last night. I thought he must have been coming from Gen Con or something because he looked like he was dressed up like Hiei from Yu Yu Hakusho, but no. He just came from Danvers. And he was really weird! He told me I couldn't put nuts on his hot fudge sundae because they looked like tiny alien brains. He's lucky I was his server, because I think anyone else would have been scared. I'm a gamer. I understand incredible weirdness, and embrace it.
Speaking of gaming, I'm thinking of running a Shadowrun game. I realize that absolutely none of the people I've ever gamed with (Beloit people) live anywhere near me, and that's sad, but I've managed to round up a pretty sizable number of players (by pretty sizable, I mean 3 definitely, likely 5) around here that I met through work and stuff. I realized recently that work is the nerd capital of Bloomington/Normal. One of the managers plays massive amounts of Magic, and another is hardcore into Warhammer 40k, not to mention that multitudes of employees that play D&D. They tried to get me to join their game, but I told them d20 gives you cancer. I think Alex's D&D game just disillusioned me because our team sucked so bad. When the rogue is trusted more than the paladin, and the paladin doesn't see a damn thing wrong with having a werewolf in the group, and gnomes are actually used as projectile weapons, I think you have a problem. However, I have dibs on the first open slot in Ben's D&D game, because I subbed for Dennis one session and fuckin' loved it. Combat is for lamers.
In other news, I have watched the entirity of Firefly twice since I purchased it. This movie needs to hurry up and come out because my desire for some sort of closure is getting overwhelming.
Also, Michelle is going back to school, and that's sad. :'( I'm letting her live on my couch for free next summer because I want her back.
And, scene.
"Milk that chicken and pluck that cow, we're the one who're gonna fuck you now."
