Tonight was a monumentous occasion.
I cleaned my desk.
I know, right? I must have thrown away an entire tree's worth of paper. Most of it shitty drawings. However I did manage to salvage a stack of keepers about an inch thick. Once I finish putting all the stuff on my scanner away (I don't want to make too much noise as it's fucking 1 am oh god why am I awake) I might even do something with them.
I even have nice neat little cubby holes to sort them by needs scanned, needs finished, and has been scanned/won't get scanned. You'd think that my mind would have revolted by now, but no! I even cleaned up behind the monitor. Which means that I can't throw my bras back there anymore (buu, it was such a convenient place) and the old Wacom is in the library now. Maybe I can convince Jeremy to try it, or maybe I'll give it to someone. I don't have any use for it since I have this nice big one now... Who knows~
I have to put away my reference files (aka pages I tore from magazines), a few books, my pencil boards and my hats. Then I have to put away the Replicants and stuff on the bottom left. THEN IT WILL BE DONE. Except for I should probably pick up all the socks and dirty clothes. But I can't do that right now because I don't have access to the bedroom! So ha. I even found like 20 cents. Hot damn.
I wanted to play Lips, but then I didn't want to make too much sound... Maybe I'll do it tomorrow. Or maybe I will somehow keep my momentum and actually finish cleaning. I might even run the sweeper! God, such thrilling times we live in.
It'll be nice seeing all the drawings move from the needs to be scanned pile to the has been scanned pile. Then if I get another one of these jags again I can move them to the file folder thing and have a mass exodus of old shitty drawings again. God, how do people keep their old drawings? I guess I'm overly critical, though I suppose I can't afford not to be since I'm too old to be as bad as I usually am.
Why are pencil boards so awesome? I don't even write in notebooks anymore but they are still one of my favorite little dealies to get inside of magazines or whatever. Even if it's from some series I don't like or have never heard of but there are huge titties on it. But then I don't want to use them because I don't want my favorite ones to get scratched up. XD Ah, life.
I didn't even sleep in today, why am I so awake. ; ; No caffeine or anything, or too much sugar, or a nap. Wah. When I was going through all my papers, I found a bunch of big posters from issues of Megami that I could never bear to throw away. They're from Clannad and Lyrical Nanoha. I'm thinking of putting them up on Freecycle so I don't feel guilty requesting something. There has to be someone in the Portland area who wants these things. We'll see, I guess.
