Ok, so today went alright for the most part. We drove all over the place and basically got the run-around from the police.
First office “Oh that’s not in city limits it’s country, here call these numbers, but mind you, they don’t answer their phones. However their offices are located…”
Second Office “Oh I think that’s in city limits.”
Third Office “An officer will be here to take your statement shortly.” A few minutes later. “Oh I’m sorry that’s animal control’s jurisdiction. You’ll have to go to their offices and make a statement there.”
*sighs* But it’s all done now. At least I hope so. The dog is in quarantine and they are supposed to be getting back to us about vaccinations.
Also took him into the hand specialist today. They want to put a pin in his thumb. Which will require surgery. They wanted to get the surgery done today but couldn’t fit him in until next Thursday. Did I mention how happy I am to have taken a super-light course load this semester?

Here’s one of the snippets I promised.
Star Trek and Labyrinth crossover-AU thing.
A bit of context.
[Jareth has shown up in a dramatic flash, as he is wont to do.]
Jim gave a grimace at hearing that familiar voice coming from behind him. “I don’t see how it’s any concern of yours Uncle Jareth.”
There is a warm rich chuckle that accompanies the smirk that passes over Jareth’s face. “Come, come now James. I can always make it my business. After all, we are family. And this is far more interesting than anything going on in the kingdom at this point.”
“What the hell is this!” Bones exclaims as he walks back into the room. He stares at Jareth. “Who the hell are you and where the hell did you come from?”
Jareth gives Bones a once over before addressing Jim. “This is who you would choose for a consort? My dear James and here I thought you were an accomplished playboy. You could have your pick of any maiden. Half of the seelie court is madly in love with you.”
“Stop it.” Jim hisses
“But your grandfather Tiberius is still making the courtiers swoon.” Jareth says while circling the room and studying various surfaces.
“Excuse me” Bones interrupts “But would anyone mind telling me what the hell is going on here?!”
Jareth spins around and smiles his enigmatic smile. “Doctor McCoy is it? Well my dear doctor, it’s really quite simple. You see James here is…”
“That’s enough!” Jim halts Jareth from speaking further. “I think family bonding time has ended Jareth. It’s time for you to go.” Jim stalks over to the door and holds it open.
Jareth doesn’t look the least put out by Jim’s outburst. “If that is your wish James.” He says raising one hand and smirking.
Jim takes a moment too long to realize what Jareth is up to. “No wait!” He says holding out his hand to stop him.
But it was no use as Jareth turns clear as a crystal and then shatters into glittering dust.
“Show off.” Jim mutters rubbing his forehead before glancing cautiously at Bones who is standing still as a statue across the room. All the blood has drained from Bones’ face. “Bones? You all right there?” Jim asks with trepidation. Bones startles and glances over to Jim. Then a flush starts to rise up in Bones’ cheeks and Jim can’t help but cringe as he watches Bones’ face turning redder and redder.
When Bones does speak his voice is calm and low. Which scares Jim more than he’d likes to admit.
“Jim?”
“Yes Bones?” Jim replies weakly
“I’m only going to ask this one more time, and if I don’t start getting some answers…” Bones trails off, still speaking in that slow and careful manner.
Jim tries for a charming smile but can’t quite seem to manage it. “Well you see it’s really very simple.”

I have No Idea where this is going, or could be going. This snippet popped into my head as I was trying to get a grasp on Jareth’s voice for
lira_alicia ’s drabble that I owe. Which I still need to type and edit. If you have any plot bunnies you wanna throw my way I wouldn’t object.
More snippets to come soon.
