So I was ruminating late last night over rent, and the thought occured:
There are three main couples in rent; Maureen and Joanne (the lesbians), Roger and Mimi (the straight couple), and Angel and Collins (the gay couple). And out of these three couples, only one of them survives the entire movie (well... not physically, but emotionally the love is still there), and thats Angel and Collins. And what is the one thing different about their relationship, in comparison to the other two?
THERES NO CHICKS TO MESS IT UP!
Thats right! Without silly female emotions, a relationship is considerably flawless (unless you have AIDS in which case you die halfway through the movie anyway, but whatver). There was no "Stop flirting with other people =O" or "Wait, you were dating our landlord??", it was pure and simple "Let's make out, k =D", and thats how all relationships should be.
