WHAT TIME IS IT?
Well, approximately noon, where I’m located. But also, SIM TIME!
Sim-makers everywhere are getting all filled up with the spirit of the holidays.
allthingsimlish has the Holiday Love Meme. GoS is doing their
Advent Calendar. Let’s cash in on the hype and have a sweet challenge right here at
pixel_trade!
So, like the teaser says, the challenge itself doesn’t really have much to do with the holidays PER SE. But it’s the spirit of giving and all that jazz.
EDIT: I should have said but this is for BOTH SIMS 3 and SIMS 2.
HERE’S HOW IT WORKS (THE RULES):
Step 1. Download this document:
.DOCX //
.PDF Step 2. Go to
Random.org’s “Integers” page and make it look like this:
Step 3. Generate your five random integers. My example combo was 32, 72, 22, 15, and 98.
Step 4. Match the FIRST TWO numbers to LIST A (“personality traits”). In my case, 32 = anxious and 72 = adorable.
Match the THIRD number to the LIST B (“archetype”). 22 = Robot.
Match the LAST TWO numbers to the LIST C (“physical appearance”). 15 = red in the face and 98 = sideburns.
Step 5. Post your resulting sim, along with your randomly-generated description HERE IN THE COMMENTS!
Box Fry is an anxious, adorable robot who is red in the face and has sideburns.

DOWNLOAD BOX FRY Step 6. Rinse and reeeepeat.
Note: The results are meant to be RANDOM but if you get two conflicting traits (like a sim who is both bald and red-headed), you can roll again. It’s okay to get two of the same number unless that number falls on the same list. So, it’s okay to have 12, 45, 45, 32, and 87 because 45 on List A = repulsive and 45 on List B = City-slicker. But you can’t have 45, 45, 12, 32 and 87. If that happens, roll again.
Edit Party of the Second Part: The "personality traits" should manifest in a primarily visual way (i.e. a "tired" sim may have eyebags) but can also come across with personality points (Sims 2) or traits (Sims 3).
HAPPY HOLIDAYS, PT SIMMERS!
