Mini Update: The sidebar, tags and mentioning a few concerns...
Afternoon all! (Or perhaps Morning, or Evening, or GO TO BED ALREADY! ;) XD)
Just a few quick heads ups on a few minor changes we've made to the comm this week:
Firstly, we've properly retired the Masterlist of downloadable sims and removed its importance from the sidebar. It is still available (and boolpropbea has offered to look at updating it around mid-year), but there is no longer emphasis on its usefulness.
Along with that change, we've had a little tidy up of the sidebar's links to make them more accessible to members. A few things have been added, a few re-arranged and the titles have had an overhaul. Hopefully this will mean everyone will be able to access the information shared there much more conveniently and easily. ^^
We've added a new tag to the arsenal, to compliment the !sims 3 tag that has existed since the release of the game, we've now a !sims 2 tag. Please make sure to tag your advertising/sharing posts accordingly when posting to the comm. We're hoping that this will help streamline people's experience of the community and help with any possible filtering (third party or otherwise) members might like to engage in.
Adding to that, a post on using the tags to search the community has been posted, and linked to in the sidebar for future reference.
Finally, there's been concerns - written here and otherwise - that the community's look is becoming tired. The comm turns three in May, and we hear your concerns, and have them ourselves. We HAD had a competition over a year ago to address this, but as it has taken MUCH too long to put this into action we've decided to take another direction with this.
